My second husband has been depressed for years. He drinks and smokes and just watches tv each night. HE has shutup all his 5 kids and his Dad. He will not seek help and I think this goes back to when he lost his Mom and sister to death many years back. Being a trucker for years I think has made him a loner too. I have suggested that he takes some herbs to help but he refuses to spend the money. I now have reiki a healing power to help him, but I don;t think he is taking it in. Any suggestions? I can't let him bring me down to his level. I am a postive person and refuse to continue this marriage if help doesn't come soon.

You can't give healing to people who aren't willing to receive it.

You can try a distance healing circle to see if it can reach the life affirming place inside him that would want the healing. If you can't get the energy there he will probably continue to refuse it.

You may need to leave him for your own well-being and perhaps the shock of that will snap him out of his depression enough to want healing.
