Hi adigya9. To answer your question, most mediations do produce side effects. Not all people who take a particular medication will have the side effects or the ones that you have. When taking anti-depressants, it is always good to be followed by a physician that is knowledgable about all medications that you are taking and the possible problems with drug/drug interactions that can occur. Also, it is important that you report any side effects immediately to your physician. Also, when taking anti-depressant medication, as with any medication, adjustments may need to be made in the dosage until your physician finds the dosage that is best for you. Keep in mind that your physician may also think that a different type of anti-depressant may work better for you if the one you are on isn't getting the desired effect. It is also important that you be involved in therapy with a qualified therapist/counselor to address the issues that are contributing to your depression. Medication will only bring you so far in dealing with depression. I hope that this information has been of help to you. Please let me know if I can assist in any other way. Good Luck.
