Your answer was much appreciated and I thank you for taking the time to answer a stranger. Service above self was a Rotary term I learned long ago, but it also comes from many other teachings dating long ago. Everyone is different and we need to find our own paths (or they find us). Good luck on your journey and I really like the idea of keeping a depression list of what's wrong this time. In my case, I am entirely too hard on myself in work, family and play and set standards that are higher than necessary. I am going to relax more. thanks again friend hstrunk100@aol.com

Hi hstrunk100
It is a pleasure to exchange experiences with fellow sufferers. Far too many people see this invisable agony as a case of mind over matter...I pray they will never have to find the truth.
Your abilty to set goals above realistic bounderies is so common with us all, we simply want to be the same as everyone else..this is our way of trying...I guess we are our own worst enemies.
Good luck with your search for help and balance.
