I HAVE BEEN ON PAXIL TWICE BEFORE WHILE IN THERAPY, I HAVE DROPPED OUT OF THERAPY BUT WOULD LIKE TO STAY ON THE MEDICATION. CAN MY REGULAR DOCTOR GIVE ME PRESCRIPTION FOR IT, AND CAN I TAKE IT LONG TERM? I REALLY DON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO THERAPY, I'VE TRIED FOUR TIMES AND IT NEVER SEEMS TO WORK OUT. THANKS TAMI

Dear Tami,
Yes your general practitioner can prescribe Paxil and you don't have to go to therapy to get medication.
Good luck. Sorry therapy didn't help you much. Sometimes it takes finding the right fit for you.
