why is the criminal scientology cult anti-psychiatry? that doesn't make any sense to me. do they want depressed people to kill themselves? what is the cult's alternative? i just don't get it.

Please note that Amil Ebay asked the question, not me. He asked it in private and in public. He is suffering from mild depression (dysthemia) and he is interested in Scientology. Since the Church of Scientology believes depression is not an illness but is caused by the spirits of murdered space aliens, I thought it incompatible for him to seek help via Scientology and Dianetics.
Every thing I wrote about Scientology and the mental health profession is 100% accurate, and is supported by sworn testimony in courts, sworn declarations, and sworn by Scientologists themselves: they say psychiatry and psychology is evil. I therefore told Amil the truth that his interest in Scientology would be harmful to him.
My answer to Amil is fully documented on the Internet. See www.xenu.net for the details. If there are any complaints by Scientologists here about my telling people why Scientology is against psychiatry and psychology, you may certainly add your three cents. However, threatening to "report" me to the AskMe.com administration for telling the truth is hardly an intelligent thing to do.
It is a HUGE disservice to the mentally ill to have people answering questions about depression in here who believe it is not an illness!
