Subject: "A Woman Scorned" Gets a Gun!

Don't know how many of you caught this news item:

GIRL FATALLY SHOOTS BOY IN SCHOOL'S CAFETERIA IN TEXAS

Crosby, Texas (AP)  A star high school football player in
Crosby, Texas, was shot to death Wednesday in the campus
cafeteria by a girl who apparently was upset because he had
called her names.

The girl waved the gun at other students at Crosby High School
after the shooting, witnesses told officers. While school
officials tried to begin classes after the 8am shooting,
dozens of upset parents showed up at the school northeast of
Houston to take their children home......

The shooting was the latest in a week of violence at
Houston-area schools, where there have been two murders, one
attempted murder, a rape, and two beatings.

Well.  The mind spins in contemplating this. First, one has to
remember the gangs that roam around and beat up gays as part
of the context.  Even some police officers posing as gays.

But what got *me* about this story is that I wondered:  I
wonder if men would finally get behind gun control if they
seriously thought they'd start to see angry women "solving"
their problems with guns the way men have always done in this
country.  Sorta reminiscent of the thought I heard long ago
that hunting would be a *lot* less popular as a sport if the
hunters knew that the animals could shoot back.

The other main thought that stands out:  Will men see the
sickness of the culture when women start electing homicide
from their menu of choices more often?  Throughout my life I
have heard this statement that women are put on this earth to
nurture life.  I've often had doubts about the truth of this,
since there are so many other lies taken as revealed truth.
Also, it is the hallmark of what we call "civilization" that
it wants to repeal all natural law that is inconvenient.
Therefore, when women start ending lives instead of nurturing
them, that might be the evidence that civilization has finally
arrived at its apex (?)
