"Christian" nation

From: Jesse Jones
To: James Robertson

JR> Whether you like it or not, this is a Christian nation.

That is blasphemy. It reflects a frightening ignorance of history. You cannot cite anything from the nation's founders, *or* from the Bible, that supports the idea that this was founded as a "Christian nation," or that there is such an entity. John 18:36: "Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here."

JR> Freedom of religion refers to denominations of the Christian
JR> faith, not spreading out a rug and praying to Allah or Satan.

Jesus weeps at such bigotry.
