First of all, oh yea of secondary sources, the Lord's prayer was banned in 1963, not 1962. Secondly, that was also the year that all defendants in criminal trials were allowed the services of a free state attorney. Also, this was the year that illegally gained evidence was prohibited from a court of law. This began the current trend of being concerned for the rights of the defendant. Although I support this trend, it does make it easier for people who are actually guilty to get off scot free and commit more crimes. This is a more probable cause for the increase in crime than the banning of The Lord's Prayer.

Also, in 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. All of the hippies realized that this was the only president that was as loose with sex as they were and became disillusioned with America and started knocking over Qwik-E-Marts. This is a more probable cause for the increase in crime than the banning of The Lord's Prayer.

Between 1963 and 1984, immigration increased over 300%. Most of this was from Mexico, where the people have a much more deficient education than U.S. students (yes, that IS possible) and are xenolingual. Unable to cook french fries like our highly trained graduates, they had to resort to a life of crime. This is a more probable cause for the increase in crime than the banning of The Lord's Prayer.

In 1963, scientists invented the audio tape, which gave the youth of the time a new portable way to carry their devil music. The durability of the plastic cases also garaunteed that the demonic songs could be played more than once. Then, after listening to the music for multiple hours, the demon-possessed youngsters would kill their parents and then call Bob Larson. In 1963, the "Thresher", a U.S. nuclear sub, was lost in the North Atlantic. The fear of radiation overdoses gave U.S. citizens a troublesome "What me worry" attitude, so they went-a lootin'. This, too, is a more probable cause for the increase in crime than the banning of The Lord's Prayer.

Many people shot themselves and each other [not necessarily in that order] out of pure spite that someone with such a poor ability to chose album titles could win a Grammy. Even this is more likely to cause an increase in crime than the banning of The Lord's Prayer.

In 1963, nobody set a new record in either the freshwater or saltwater categories in the IGFT all-tackle fishing championships. Combined with the raised cost of salad dressing from the Florida restaurant fiasco and increased homosexual mob violence, people became so demoralized that they begin participating in insider trading deals. This is definitely a more probable cause for the increase in crime than the banning of The Lord's Prayer from public schools.
