Sat Morning This morning started with being tailed by 4JZA146 gold colored. I had something to mail, so went by the post office on State Street and just continued out that way (I usually go out Sorenson because it is faster). Anyway, where the highway becomes 4 lane I slowed down. The PI (or wannabe) turned off to the right, and then caught up with me on State at a light and was forced to turn right again--as if I didn't know he was trying to follow me! I got out there 5-10 minutes before 7. Richardson and Petty came along shortly. I told them the story about Shy David and him trapping the PI in traffic on I5. I often kick the rocks off the road shoulder. Frank was taping and I kicked one to the side well in front of Edwin. Frank came back and represented to him that I was kicking rocks at Edwin-- assault. Even Edwin couldn't make a case for that. Shortly after that Edwin asked me if I had any weapons. I checked my pockets. Sorry, no MIRVs. I twitted them about the defective subpoena. Edwin tried to rag me about getting legal advice from Graham. Silly, the requirement for being paid is right on the subpoena form. My postings must be getting back to them. They have quit playing peek-a-boo behind the guard shack. Heh, and the camera near the gate was acting up this morning, pointed in the wrong direction. The thugs seem to be getting dispirited. Frank was trying, but the Sec Check questioning was sporadic, and he seems to be thinking a bit of more about things like Stacy Moxon and the transformer vault. Sometimes he natters about the the ARSCC's plan to "disintegrate" Co$. The North/South traffic on the west underpass was next to nil today, there didn't even seem to be a traffic cop stopping people at the top of the stairs. Brent came out in his car (there is a point to making the PI wannabes try to keep track of multiple cars) and we spread out. Brent got Edwin and I got thug 2 (Frank). They generally stayed within 20 feet. The contrast (100 feet) with Graham Berry being there was amazing. I wonder what kind of fear or orders Graham inspires to keep the thugs at such a distance? About 7:20 TalonK showed up. My car was on the east end, and I was near the main gate, so I headed to my car for another sign. Talon parked way off to the west end and met us near the main gate. Now with three, we could spread out and force the thugs to ignore one of us but we didn't. I twitted Frank about "Jesse Garon" and what an awful mistake it had been for Helena Kobrin to offended "him." Frank was left totally confused about something which any internet person would have figured out on a few minutes. Then I mentioned "Dorian." Frank wanted to know if Dorian was a friend of mine. I said it was more complicated than that, but that would do. Near the west gate, I came upon a blank sign and took a picture of it. Frank said he had "documentation" that Brent had been down there for some time, by himself and speculated that Brent had taken the paper off what had been the No Trespassing sign. Talk about grasping at straws. Since I started before Memorial Day, there has been me, Bruce Pettycrew, his wife (sorry, can't remember her name), TalonK, (twice), Fred Rice, his wife and three kids, David Rice, Barbara, Brent Stone, LK and his friend, and Graham Berry. At 7:51 I noticed that the plaza and the stairs on the west end were clear. In the half dozen times we crossed it, never saw anyone. About that time one of my favorite CHP people, Officer Luebs, came by and we had a short, friendly conversation about pickets, dancing in the road when PIs get in your face, the effects of having a lawyer with you on the scn PIs, and other related topics. Frank stood back in dismay. With a cheery "Have fun" Officer Luebs went on down the road. About this time the sun had come over the mountains and it was time to go back to the car and put on sun screen. Of all the critical ingredients for a picket, sun screen tops the list. On the way back to the west, there is a place where you can look down from the road to a bunch of pavement/loading docks and such. We were able to look down on a crew, some of them in black shirts, who were cleaning the pavement. Since there were two of us and only Frank to try and block us, he oscillated between us and we got good tape and photos the bunch of them cleaning the pavement. TalonK twitted Frank about the ARSCC (wdne) for a while. There were other amusing events, but since my fingers are being worn down by all this, I think I will leave some space for TalonK and Brent. . . . . After a fine lunch at Ida's Entheta Cafe, TalonK and I went out to see if we could locate and tape some of the PI wannabes. No luck, not a one showed up. I checked email and found this note (for posting) from Graham: ********** .... returned a series of calls from my attorney. I said I had been out of town. "Yes, I have heard all about it from Mr.Moxon." However, *his* version of the events was quite different to mine and omitted to advise that Keith Henson had been served with yet another deposition subpoena, this time in the Hurtado v. Berry case. Then it was off to the beach to gently laze in the cool ocean waters and prepare for this evening's meeting - with two German lawyers from the State of Bavaria. They took me to Arnold Shwartzenanger's Schatzi On Main restaurant which I thought highly appropriate after spending the morning at the Base with Keith and Brent." ML to all. *********** Keith Henson Reporting the action from the Hemet front.
