Yet more trouble perhaps? They started off with that Henson character on the net, who was threatening to send part of their secret scriptures to the FDA and was making fun of them. That was bad. So they went after him. Partially as a result of this, that one person among many, on that one newsgroup among many, became internationally known and that particular newsgroup turned into one of the most visible of the net. In the process, the bad, bad cause drew more adherents and spread like a disease. That was of course very bad. So they went after him even more. As a result of their great success, they ended up being sieged and humiliated and confined to their quarters by still that one Henson person, and the scriptures were all over the place and the entire world was making fun of them, except for some countries that were dead serious instead. That was doublebad, unacceptable. So they went after his wife. They did great in that too, so now they are being sieged and humiliated and confined to their quarters by that one Henson person and his wife as well, and the newsgroup is thriving and the press is writing and the scriptures are all over the place and the world is changing and they are sieged in almost every place were they can be sieged by all possible and impossible people who think "if that Henson person and his wife can do it, why couldn't I?" and everything seems to be getting out of hand and the ranks are shaking. That is doubleplusbad. They really need to do something about it, so now thee're going after his daughter. * Tomorrow, that same Henson person and his wife and his daughter and her friends and half her college will be sieging them and humiliating them and confining them to their quarters, and that same newsgroup will be thriving even more and the press will be writing even more and the scriptures will still be all over the net and the Ministry of Truth will be out of words for how bad that is, and they will be wondering, who else can we go after now, does he have money left, does he have a dog, how can we get at him? And they will be at a loss, and they will despair and the ranks will turn to their leaders and ask how this could happen and what are they to do. And it will be explained to them: it was all in the books, it was all done according to the books, it was all right, but the books have run out, their wisdom has reached its end, it is time to pack and leave. And so it will be, and it will go to in the books as yet another instance of a new, dynamic and intelligent species extinguishing an old, static and stupid species, just as all those other instances that are already in the books. And the newsgroup will decline and the scriptures will be pulled off the net and the press will stop writing and people will lose interest and that Henson character and his wife and his daughter and her friends and their friends will go back to where they came from and it will all come to an end, and then some lone survivor of the once so mighty cult will stumble upon the terrible truth that everybody knew except those in the cult: If you do it by the book the book will run out, but if you don't do it by the book you can't run a proper cult. This is why we get new cults all the time. They have new books. And the world has new Hensons. Z
