You can ask, but even if you have proof forget getting any action by the INS or whatever it is called now I doubt you could get anyone to act.

It took a long time to fit together why it was so important to control her (or even be sure she died if they could not control her) and some of this is still speculation. As you might know, Lisa was being used as a conduit to transfer money made by a for profit company to scientology.

The printing company Lisa worked for was making excess money by low labor costs in the plant. It seems probably they were using illegal aliens brought in under religious visas who had been "laundered" by name changes through a local court with intentionally bad record keeping. That made them vanish as far as INS was concerned.

A local lawyer, Michael B Steeves, processed over a hundred of these name changes in about a year (2-3 a week). (I don't know for sure if any of this group of people wound up working for Lisa's company.) Steeves isn't a scientologist, but I think I know his connection to scientology. The judge and the court officials certainly knew something dicey was going on so if this had come out deep corruption of a Clearwater court by scientology would have been exposed.

I used to think the problem of not being able to get law enforcement to act on reported crime was because the cult intimidated law enforcement. That's probably part of the problem, but before 9/11 there were FBI agents trying to get action on these people who were learning to fly big aircraft without learning how to land . . . . and they could not get the attention of anyone higher up.
