I suppose you could make the case on both points. For example, I picketed the cults desert base out near Hemet California over the two women they murdered under the "depraved indifference" standard.
Now picketing is a constitutionally protected activity rather than a crime, but the cult bought off the DA's office and the court. As a result I was convicted of "interfering with a religion" and sentenced to death (according to what a cult shill posted on a.r.s May 17, 2001).
Steve, do you consider that a remedy?
