Some good may have come out of my letter to the Grand Jury, assuming
my letter had anything to do with filing charges in the Ashlee Shaner
death.
Yesterday I got this:
OFFICE OF THE GRAND JURY
County of Riverside
(909) 955-8990
May 1, 2001
H. Keith Hensen
P.O. Box 60012
Palo Alto, CA 94306
Subject: 4/14/01 Complaint Letter
Dear Mr. Hensen:
The Riverside County Grand Jury does not take action on matters
pending before the courts.
Therefore, no action will be taken at this time.
Sincerely,
David Howitt, Foreperson
2000-01 Riverside County Grand Jury

P.O. Box 829 Riverside, California 92502
Even though this is dated May 1, and the postage meter is May 2, I
didn't get this until May 9. Today I called up the secretary (who did
not give her name and asked if the charges I had made were really
under investigation by the courts. No she said that they don't
investigate where anyone who writes a letter is himself in the courts,
and that my letter and exhibits had been shredded.
I must say that the Grand Jury did an amazing job of fulfilling the
requirements set out by the AG before they can act.
The AG office definitely reacts to getting a number of letters. I
would greatly appreciate anyone who can sending them a note and
posting a copy on a.r.s.
Thanks,
Keith Henson
