Let me tell you that I had much rather be me up here in the Canadian wilderness than to be (*) in his $73 million dollar palace at gold base. Let me give you another tidbit from that deposition. I walked DM through the "selling the Brooklyn bridge" story and asked him if he had ever considered that Hubbard had nothing but contempt for his followers by "selling them a bridge." DM was *livid" about hearing this story, perhaps for the very first time. Of course, after that, he was never able to think of scientology's "bridge" without connecting it to the famous scam of American folklore. [I can't say the part of the pledge of allegiance where it goes "under God" without thinking of the cartoon (from the Realist?) where Uncle Sam is being buggered by this God figure.] As for DM's outburst about being publicly buggered--posted *again* on this thread--I know why DM was so freaked about it. The truth is that scientology is doing something their own "scriptures" condemn, playing a victim. Man, what an advertizement for "self improvement."
