When Keith announced his intention to seek political asylum
in Canada as a means to focus attention on the abuse of the
US legal system by the "Church" in his case, I was pretty
skeptical of whether it would have the desired effect. It
would have been so easy for the "Church" to simply do
nothing and leave Keith stranded in Canada without a
soapbox to stand on. But thanks to 100% pure Hubbard
tech, his case is in the Canadian papers BEFORE HE
HAS EVEN FILED HIS ASYLUM REQUEST. Keith is
now halfway toward winning his gamble. I'm sorry
if he and Gregg got shaken up by the ETF, but I'm ever
to be taken away by riot police some day, I hope that
they will be Canadian!
The one real risk in this was that Keith be bundled back
to the US without proper due process. It sounds like
his immigration lawyer managed to get into the loop in
time, though. Scientology would have been much smarter
to have arranged for him to be bagged and deported
on Saturday/Sunday, but hey, that's Hubbard-induced
brain damage for you.
While I've killfiled the psych spammers, I find it fascinating
that the other (mostly US-based) Scientology shills didn't
have a set of prepared gloat-postings already flooding the
newsgroup. Makes me wonder if this wasn't a "rogue op"
by some idiots in Co$ Canada who acted without proper
orders. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes: the case is
in now in the headlines, and Henson's still on Canadian
soil.
