I believe it was a Jacqueline Matz who was sentenced to 5 years
which in Canada means federal prison. The fact that Keith is being
held while flight risk is being considered is fairly normal for
this type of situation. The good part about this time is that
his lawyers have time to prepare lots of documentation regarding
Keith's situation re the case in California, the long term viscous
harassment of him and his family as well as documentation regarding Fair
Game, Dead Agenting etc. The Canadian authorities are going to
get a thorough education on what Scientology does to its perceived
enemies.
I am sorry that Keith must sit in jail but perhaps there is a
silver lining in this - he can't be followed, harassed, and
so on while in custody.
The Canadian system is different than the American one in many
ways and this will be in Keith's favour. He will be allowed to
speak and defend his actions - something he wasn't able to do
in California.
We are not being played here - we have avenues open to us and public
exposure of the illegal, immoral, and unethical actions of the COS
is also important.

Well... Look at how long $cientology played out their defence of
criminal actions, and their libel defence. Those cases were strung out
over decades, and only ended recently -- and they left a *very* bad
taste in the Canadian legal system.
Once Keith's case hits a higher level than Officer Plodder (no offence
O.P.!), you should see quite a change. (Like maybe that "anonymous
tip-off" being blown wide open.) The first hurdle will be to let
Keith's immigration lawyer deal with the "illegal entry". Once that's
past, Co$ is going to be in for some heavy hurt.
So far they've used an "anonymous tip-off" to set honest people in
motion against Keith. Once that's been revealed to be a Co$ farce, Co$
will either have to act directly against Keith or try and use the US
legal system/State dept through the Canadian fire-wall. (And honest
people are going to be seriously pissed at being used, and get caught up
on recent history.) Directly, ouch! Two things established in Ontario:
(1) Actions by a member of Scientology for the benefit of Scientology
are deemed to be actions *by* Scientology. (2) There is only *one*
Church of Scientology when it comes to assessing damages. Use the US
legal system/State dept, double ouch!
So far, Keith been processed as any "foreigner with a conviction,
explosives knowledge and illegal entry to the country" tip-off would be.
(A certain neighbour to the south keeps complaining about we are soft of
terrorists. *ahem*) I would imagine by this point CSIS (foreign) and
the RCMP (domestic) are taking an interest. (And maybe the CSE, but
they're just a disinformation front. ;^)
BEEP! Eventually calls to US equivalent agencies: BEEP! BEEP! All on
the QT, of course, but CSIS and the RCMP definitely talk to Immigration.
The first step has been done: He's not dangerous. That was fast. I
guess Keith's CSIS folder is pretty tame. (You think he doesn't have
one by now? *snort*!) (Away go the SWAT teams, and aren't they pissed
off at being used!) (A couple calls might get made to check out the
tip-off source, low-pri, however.)
The second step will be the entry to Canada. That'll turn on points of
bureaucracy and law. If that's accomplished, no worries! If not, the
appeal process can go on for years.
Meanwhile, Co$, having "burned" the Toronto police, the Oakville police,
and Immigration, is going to be out of
simple "there's a bomb" prank calls. And they'll come into contact with
the Law Society of Upper Canada, who have very long memories -- not that
I'm saying that might bias their judgements, heavens no! Quite
unthinkable!
So, on the one hand, Co$ really wants to destroy Keith Henson, and might
have to act directly somehow.
On the other hand, Miscaivage just might remember that he was yanked
into an Ontario court, and put on the stand under oath as the head of
the Church of $cientology, and responsible for their actions.
On the gripping hand, I think someone disposable like Peter Ramsay might
just get hatted for independent actions.
We'll just have to see. Any predictions based on sane actions by Co$
are .. unpredictable.
