Keith does have a very good legal firm representing him. I hope they can be brought up to speed about Co$, and I suspect they are. And I wouldn't suggest trying to short-circuit them at the moment. So any impressive professional connections that you're free to add to your greeting might make a favourable impression on someone) I'd guess "H. The first hurdle has been passed: Keith isn't dangerous. (Odd how Gold was so terrified...) Bonus points: The Co$ tip-off connection has apparently been admitted to reporters. Penalty points: Two officers seem to be holding to the Co$ "mad-bomber" "shore story" for some reason. I'm not about to speculate why at this time. I'm pretty sure that ARS is read by the Metro Toronto Police Force (pardon, in these Mega-Toronto days if I got the name wrong). (Once I made the mistake of quoting *exactly* what an officer said to someone who ripped a flyer out of my hand in a picket report. This was a damned bad mistake on my part, because it rebounded back from ARS onto that fine officer, hopefully with nothing more than a finger-shaking.) So I will only say that, at the moment, that I hope those officers who are so adamant about Co$'s story about Keith reconsider -- exactly who has the better track record? Keith Henson with a single dubious conviction, or Co$ Toronto with two criminal convictions, as well as criminal convictions by individual members who are still in positions of power in Co$ Toronto? Plus all the other international convictions? Think about it guys, because other people are probably listening from on high. And it doesn't stop there. Keith's case has lots of keywords that would attract other people. Pipebombs, explosives, foreign fugitive, high risk take down, Tom Cruise Missiles, Attack Eagles, GPS laser painting... *sigh* If CSIS and/or the RCMP don't have this on at least a low grade "watch list", they're asleep at the stick, but I doubt they are. Okay, on with reality... Second hurdle to go: Getting Keith some sort of status that will enable him to remain in Canada, pending. Pending what? Either deportation hearings, or waiting for political refugee status. That's Keith's lawyers' job, and they're running that show because they know the turf and they're good at it. Don't touch unless you know what you are doing, and I'd clear that through Gregg to Keith's lawyers. (I'm not in the loop at all, but that just makes sense. Gregg, comments?) After that, there will be other hurdles, but they shouldn't be too immediate. So, I'd say: Alert and educate the press, don't joggle the lawyers' elbows, give Keith your personal support -- with a bunch more for Arel and family. Ron of that ilk.
