Problem is, Jim, that no such lawyers exist. Anyone who looks into
the history of litigation with the scientology cult wants nothing to
do with it.
Same problem with government. The government is more likely to arrest
and convict one of us than they are to file charges against the
scientology cult. Consider the Lisa McPherson case as an example of
how scientology uses buckets of money to crush criminal and civil
litigation against it.
And watch the Ashlee Shaner case. Chances are the guy will be let off
because the case just costs the county too much.
I don't have an answer, but it is clear not only to me, but to all the
lawyers involved in this business that reforming scientology will not
be accomplished with law and government.
