Robert H. Wallerstein Lawyer, judge

Robert H. Wallerstein, lawyer-turned-judge who earlier in his career handled writers' contracts, died Thursday April 24 in Palm Desert of natural causes. He was 76.
He was a Los Angeles Municipal Court judge from 1983 to 1996 and later a private judge for an alternate resolution center. As a lawyer, he handled contracts for writers and dealt with other entertainment matters and divorces.
Chicago native attended UCLA and worked in newspapers and advertising agencies for several years. He later attended Southwestern U. School of Law in Los Angeles.
He is survived by wife J.J.; a son and daughter; one granddaughter; his mother; and a sister.
