Thanks to the internet, all the volunteer work of critics, and the great reporting of the Tampa Tribune and many other media outlets, Lisa McPherson is now the most famous Scientologist in history. I was recently pointed to a 1955 article that indicates Hubbard was holding people with psychological problems against their will even that far back. There are over 15 cases on the Lisa page where other people claim to have been held against their will by Scientology. The Introspection Rundown is still official policy of Scientology. Karsten came forward and told of a case in Denmark AFTER Lisa McPherson's death where again Scientology held someone against her will. This dangerous quack practice I consider the most horrible part of Scientology. You'd think with all the publicity from Lisa McPherson's case, and the civil and criminal cases Co$ faces in her death, that they would have put the practice at least temporarily on hold. But I have been informed of an even more recent possible case where someone has been declared a type III and possibly held. This was at the December 28 rally in Los Angeles. All I heard from a reliable source is that someone was designated a type III and removed from the event. Hopefully, they just removed the person and that was that.... but as we all painfully know, another type III was not released until she was dead. Therefore, we as people who know how dangerous Scientology quack practices can be have to be very concerned when someone is called a type III. And I am concerned. Lisa McPherson was designated as a type III. When critics investigated and cut through the smokescreen of lies the church blew up, we discovered the horror of what really happened. I would HOPE that Scientology knows by now not to treat anyone as they treated Lisa, but then I would also hope that the designation "type III" would stop being used too, because it implies that the policies are still in place.
