The closer the McPherson trial approaches. The more desperate the dingbats and personal attacks become.
'twas ever so. Expect it to get worse.
Every major publicity event that puts CoS in a bad light has been plagued by these pathetic attempts at distraction and confusion.
The Lisa McPherson trial is CoS's "Russian Front". There won't be a newspaper worth its salt that will not have its finger on the pulse of this trial. Journalists are salivating at the chance to cover this human-interest story. (And, as we all know, CoS has managed to get up nose of every journalist who believes in freedom of speech.)
CoS has failed to understand the odds. There is no future in which the word "scientology" is not tainted. Millions of people have already made a moral decision in this regard. When the subject of CoS comes up in conversation then it is, more often than not, followed by the phrase: "Don't get involved. They're dangerous."
What a legacy!
When the dust settles..... tell me there won't be a biopics and biographies about Lisa McPherson. Tell me that she won't become a morality tale for anyone who needs to warn children about the seduction of cults and toxic religious activity.
Now tell me that CoS is not afraid. And that cornered rats don't bite.
