Time to remember that among the papers seized by the FBI raids
of Scientology, Inc. in the late 70s was a plan outlining
"areas of priority to infiltrate" listing, among others, the
Mayor's office, the Florida Attorney General and Florida
State's Attorney, and local media outlets.
The Clearwater _Sun_, now defunct, was the focus of an
operation called China Shop. The op, which can be found at
http://www.gate.net/~shipbrk/Co$/docs/chinashp.html The target
of the operation was, "very confidentially, is owenrship or
control of the paper. So as you know, the finance information
onthe paper, its debts, its income (and how it could be cut)
are prime information needs. Also detailed info on the posts of
the staff editors, etc."
Operation Tricycle, which can be found at
http://www.gate.net/~shipbrk/Co$/docs/tricycle.html explains in
detail the financing arrangements for the op, which focuses on
"all news media and the heads or proprietors of news media that
are distributed or broadcast in the Clearwater area," [XENU-TV
didn't exist yet!] as well as "key political figures" and "key
financial influences" including the Board of Realtors.
Scientology, Inc. will parrot the party line that "we don't do
those things anymore" and that those nasty GO people are gone.
But Dick Weigand, whose name appears on Operation Tricycle, and
who was one of the GO 11 indicted in the early 80s, was
observed in South America working to disseminate the tek a few
years ago. Kind of like, "oh, we'll dissolve WISE" in the IRS
agreement - but it still exists. Or "oh, Fair Game is no longer
policy", when all that changed was the name.
How many times has a Scn spokesperson claimed that some
manufactured event is a 'watershed' that will leave Scn, Inc's
soiled reputation in the murky past and lead to a shiny new
relationship with "the community"? But it, like the state of
OT, is never ever actually achieved as promised.
The recent dropping of the criminal case speaks volumes not
only of the abuses of the US legal system, but the willingness
of Florida lawmakers to look the other way when a blatant
attack on democracy is occurring under their noses. Wake up,
Jeb Bush!
There is absolutely no causal link between Woods' reversal of
cause of death and practicing medicine without a license/abuse
of disabled adult, which is all they were charged with in the
end, anyway.
Someone got away with murder. Literally.
