Time Machine Order: the Time Machine is a set of baskets in
the comm center for, I think, each day of the week. Someone can issue
an order to do XYZ within the next week, and they'll put a copy in the
TM basket for the day when the order is supposed to be done. When that
day comes, there will be a reminder that XYZ is supposed to be
finished today, so it can be chased up. The TM helps people keep track
of these things which might be forgotten otherwise.
Fell off: I can think of "fell off the Bridge"... the idea is
like we're standardly cruising along on a conveyor belt, but people
who fall off it, by whatever misfortune, immediately are in a place
where they won't have any more forward motion happening. They're stuck
in a dark place, so to speak.
