I said I wasn't going to look. I did. I said the things wouldn't bother me. They did. The vision of those dead eyes, once bright and sparkling on the Freewinds, makes me feel something I can't identify. Her gay smile, caught in a moment of joy, reduced to a dried row of tombstone teeth, still hold an echo of her beauty. The sad curl of eyelash still gracing those dead pools fill me with deep sadness. I did not have a restful night. Weird, I'm not that kind of person normally. Perhaps it's because I've seen pictures of the living, vital woman she once was? Or the knowledge that all that was stripped away, bit by bit, by a greedy, stupid little man who cares little for the very people who support him? I feel all psychically icky now.
