Below is an excerpt from an "OT 7" whose job it was to help Lisa McPherson do her job better. It describes the "handlings" she put Lisa through on the morning of her car accident and psychotic break.
It is a very common thing for a Scientologist to be unable to actually see what is going on with another person. Blinded by such idotic concepts as the "tone scale", "natter", "BPC", "cognitions", "originations", "in PT", they are unable to truly evaluate the mental state of an individual right in front of them. People are economic units - "time, space, energy production units" in Scientology. That is all.
The "tech" Hubbard wrote for this kind of a situation is so incredibly negligent. Basically, the tech this woman (who obviously intended to help Lisa) possessed to apply to her was OW write ups, conditions, work (including the "therapy" of physical labor) and B1 vitamins. Hubbard's "tech" is designed ONLY to keep an individual working. It has NOTHING to do with evaluating a person for what's truly going on with them and taking care of them. Hubbard perscribes work as a therapy!
What better "therapy" could there be for slaves?
Lisa was working 15 hour days. After working Lisa's guts out for weeks, this is the first time that she actually sees to it that Lisa gets some rest. She had clearly been exhausted and frantic the whole time this woman was working with her and upset about her relationships with her boyfriend and others. But this person was unable to see someone who was exhausted and deteriorating right before her eyes. All she could do was get her to keep working.
I am sure that on this day, even though she is finally taking her home to rest, in the back of her mind she is thinking how "downstat" Lisa is being and looking at what "lower condition" Lisa is in for not being able to keep producing. She probably figures that she will need to do conditions with her to get her up out of lowers when she gets back to work - tommorow.
The thetan can do anything - it is the ultimate "time, space, energy production unit". Scientology technology makes you more of a thetan.
Scientology is the technology of slavery.
"When I took her home she said she had B1 in the apt but I couldn't find it anywhere. So I made her get back in the car and we went to the store and I got her B1, juice and fruit. I had her drink a glass of juice and take 600 mg of B1 and lay down for a nap. I ensured she had everything she needed and that the temperature of the room was fine with her & she had on the proper clothes to sleep in and that the extra light in her room was ok (it was about 3pm). She got everything she needed to take a nap and put my number by her phone. I told her to call me when she woke up and I would get her and we'd go pick up her car. She said ok and got into the bed. She then looked at me and said "Thanks for doing all this for me" and smiled. She wnet right to sleep and I left. I found out at 6p what had happened and the psychotic break that occurred. I didn't at any time beleive that Lisa wasn't in control and basically thought she was pretending. She done [sic] that before and since she was in PT most of the time I thought it was just a bid for more attention. I didn't want to grant beingness or give power to that computation so I just acked her. I thought she was upping the emotion to ellicit [sic] a response or create an effect. I never got that she had lost control or wasn't in PT the majority of the time (like 90%). I can't think of anything more that happened but I would like cramming if needed on me. I don't want to have contributed to the downfall of this individual by not having the tech to spot and handle her. I know I am responsible for ensuring she follows the tech while under my care. If I think of anything else I will write it up and if I can get some references I would appreciate it. (The Qual Sec gave Benn on 11/19 late the references Handling the Psychotic and the Introspeciton R/D. These were a big relief for me and pointed out specifics that I could see were being exhibited and that I passed off as within her control.) "
The Lisa McPherson story embodies so much about what it wrong with Scientology. It is one of the things that started to shake me awake about my own involvement in Scientology. It shows the truth in so many different ways.
No one should ever forget Lisa McPherson.
