BUN is "blood urea nitrogen" ... a toxic waste product of metabolism that the liver and kidneys normally remove and excrete in urine. Normally, but in the case of severe dehydration, the body cannot afford to spare any water in order to (quite literally) 'flush the toilet' and waste products like BUN accumulate in the body's tissue fluids where they poison all that they come into contact with.

It isn't just the waste products which kill you. As more and more fluid is lost by persperation, respiration and excretion, concentrations of ions like sodium, potassium, calcium and chlorine rise and fluids are osmotically drawn from the surrounting tissues and the body's homeostatic regulatory defences against ionic imballances are frantically fighting a battle to keep the very cells we are made of from 'short circuiting' or worse, literally exploding under the high osmotic pressures.

This evidence is incontrovertible and will severely wound Scientology's case (but not as badly as Scientology handled Lisa's case).

It was a horrible horrible horrible death and it didn't happen in the middle of the desert or in the middle of an ocean where fresh water was not availlable -- it happened in a hotel at the Vatican of Scientology.
