Judge Schaeffer today denied Scientology's motion for summary judgment on Count 5 of the Estate's claim. Additionally, she strikes at the heart of one of Scientology's defenses, which is that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act protects Scientology from the tortious acts of its agents. It's an interesting read.
