New Trial Judge Assigned Latest news from the Lisa McPherson trial:

The Lisa McPherson wrongful death case has now been assigned to Senior Judge Robert Beach.

On Friday, May 2, 2003 the judge said he has nothing to do but this case and his only job is to get this case to trial. This judge has been the discovery judge on many of the depositions in the case, sitting in and controlling Scientology lawyers as a result of a motion for sanctions filed by Ken Dandar over two years ago.

Scientology also filed a motion to disqualify Judge Schaeffer, before Judge Beach got the case. Lawyers for Scientology also asked Judge Beach to reconsider nine prior orders of Judge Schaeffer. Judge Beach said he would not do that.

Also, Scientology filed yet another in the long series of motions to disqualify Ken Dandar. They appear to be quite desperate.
