On November 26, 2003, the Honorable Douglas Baird, in the Clearwater, Florida breach of contract/tortious interference case denied all of Scientology's motions for new trial, contempt and sanctions it sought against the Estate of Lisa McPherson, Dell Liebreich, her attorney, Ken Dandar, and Liebreich's and Dandar's trial counsel, Luke Lirot.

Scientology had brought suit against the Estate of Lisa McPherson, its personal representative, Dell Liebreich, and the Estate's counsel, Ken Dandar, for attempting to add its leader, David Miscavige and other high ranking Scientology corporations and officers for the death of Lisa McPherson, when the Estate had previously agreed not to add parties in the wrongful death action.

Scientology sought a new trial alleging that the embarrassing verdict of a mere $4,500, rather than the $50,000 it sought, for its attorney fees and costs to enforce the agreement not to add parties incurred in the death case of Lisa McPherson was the result of misconduct of Luke Lirot, Ken Dandar, and Dell Liebreich during the Clearwater trial, combined with a biased jury and terrible mistakes made by the trial judge, Douglas Baird.

Scientology also sought a minimum of $4 million in punitive damages against the Estate's attorney, Ken Dandar and his firm, Dandar & Dandar, P.A., with the jury returning a zero verdict.
