Sometime tomorrow the number of unique visitors to lisamcpherson.org in the past 1364 days will click over to 250,000. The site has actually been up longer than that, but I have no stats from before that date. This averages 183 unique visitors per day.

When I wrote "The Hubbard is Bare" in 1991 I assumed a couple of hundred people at the most would ever read it. But that was before I was on the internet, and before the net became public and popular. It's amazing how many people you can reach on the net.

So I'm very happy that so many people have visited my site. But you know that's not the whole story at all. Mikey has a page on Lisa. There are pages on Lisa in several languages. There are several mirrors of my site (from various times) on the net. Rod had his site of the autopsy photos. So I think it can be stated without doubt that at least one million people have found out about Lisa McPherson on the internet. And all this from people just on their own volition making this information available. There was no organized campaign, no central organization. It was just people who saw a wrong and tried to make sure it didn't happen again.

I do believe that Scientology has been forced by all this publicity to look at how they treat people. I do believe we have made a difference, although there is a long way to go. And I do believe that by broadcasting Lisa McPherson's story, we have saved lives. Thanks to all of you, thanks to the internet, and thanks to freedom of speech.
