Dear ARS friends,
Next to the front door of the Las Vegas Class V org, I left my Lisa remembrances. For the staff to find as they arrive this morning.
A white bouquet of flowers, a white candle, and a placard. That simply
reads:
IN MEMORY OF LISA
Dec 5th 1995
Right now on the radio I'm hearing - "I'll be home for Xmas". (Always
been a tearjerker for me) Well, Lisa McPherson DID NOT make it home for
Xmas that year. Please don't let today slip by without a simple
acknowledgement of her memory.
And please post about your own tribute!
Be well. Be safe.

Hmm, are there any Lisa Memorial pickets planned for today in Amsterdam, The Netherlands?? I'm still at work now, but I could leave sooner and join a picket somewhat after 3 PM. Let me know in private mail. Just have some spare picket signs and handouts ready :)
Cheers, Emiel

The cadres have already left. your best possibility is to just go down to the org and pretend that nothing was planned

If the picketers are already gone, what in blazes should I do at the A'dam org? I don't need to take the OCA test, because I have a CGI version of it on a website somewhere, so that gets boring quick. I don't need to buy courses, since I have no interest in buying a bridge to nowhere.
I could just loiter outside, but if I start "routing" people away from
Scientology (what I probably would do), I get harrassed by the scieno's,
which isn't a nice prospect if you're alone.
Zinj, I respect and applaud your courage for your lone picket, but it's
something I just can't do. Safety comes in numbers.
Cheers,
Emiel

You raise an interesting question.
But.. I doubt seriously that you have a CGI version of the OCA
It was and is still a DOS program.
Which makes me look at you a bit askance.
What you could do is realize that exposing Scientology is not
something done in a day.
Print some flyers out. I would not recommend in the US that you
actually begin passing them out... but, in the UK... well
keep in mind that the 'ORG's' primary goal will be to accuse you
of any crime they think they can get away with....
Other possibility. Go down there, sit down in the nearest cheasy
fast food place
read a book
and wait
Let them come to you And just talk
Do you know the 'regge' patter?
If you don't.. be very careful :) Life is dangerous Maybe the next time we meet....
you may be a Rondroid

I know. But joining a picket sounded like a good way to start. I already do
a little bit by telling everyone that asks me about Co$ to go to xenu.net
or the dutch equivalent (www.b-org.demon.nl)

First of all, I'm in the Netherlands. They can accuse all they want, but
with no proof of an actual crime, it has no basis.

Hmm, this might be just as fun as playing with the body routers that try to get you to do the OCA test.

Unlikely. I know that Scientology brainwashes people, so with that in mind beforehand, and the added protection of a few brain cells, it's next to impossible to let them get to me.
And I did speak to Scio's before, unbeknownst that they were clams. When the
subject came up, I said I read xenu.net and knew about the cult, and
suddenly they didn't want to talk to me anymore and got away from me. Heck,
I never even got their names.

The only reason I did my first picket was that the LA org
assaulted Keith Henson, then got a restraining order on him.
I was a bit offended.
Much more important than picketing as a whole would be to read
some of the available flyers, decide if there's anything you
actually agree with, and then just walk around
down there
the difference between picketing and just being is very marginal :)
Even if you only visit... (something critics do often), we would appreciate a 'report'

Sandy....
What a nice thing to do. This day creeped up on me and sadly I didn't get
a memorial done for Lisa today. However, I will .....
and I will do it in honor of her.
Her memory will live on for all of us. One person, caught in the darkness,
trying to go home.....
How utterly sad this day is, thinking of Lisa McPherson and how tragic the
ending of her life was.
My love to all, and certainly to Lisa's family, and friends.....
