I just got a chance to read Joe's essay. Wow. _Very_ insightful. Much more comprehendable than Dorian. :) As I was reading through it, I was even seeing the art of camoflage in Joe's words. :) Nonetheless, Joe offers a very thought-provoking look at the art of cult deception and enslavement. Joe observes that even though physical slavery has been outlawed, psychological slavery is perfectly legal, especially if cloaked as "religion".

"Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." Ephesians 5:11

I also want to publicly thank Bob Minton for doing something very positive - this essay contest has shown me what the target is. While Scientology may be the worst of the bunch, the real enemy is coercive psychological enslavement systems. The more we understand how they work, the more we can do to expose them.

I hope these essays get webbed as a set somewhere. I'd like to point a link their way.
