So, let's review:
CAUSE: $cientologists trespass on Minton's property and provoke
him into an inflammatory reaction.
EFFECT: More headlines about the fight between Minton and
$cientology (as well as numerous mentions of the McPherson case)
and no criminal charges at all.
Gee, looks like the real shot was fired by the $cientologists,
right into their own feet. As usual. Nice job, boys, what do
you do for an encore? Provoke a raid on Hemet by the FBI?
(hm... perhaps I've said too much... damn those sOOper pOWer
intentionz!)
