On Friday, the Scientologists convinced the city to cordon off an area near their side entrance. Two large white lines were placed on the street and sidewalks and we were informed by the police than ANYONE who steps over those lines while a Scientology bus was loading or unloading would be immediately arrested. That includes any local who just happens to walk by at that moment.
How are they going to enforce this? Well, anytime a bus is unloading, two uniformed police officers will be on the scene;
one on each end of the zone.
Did the system work out tonight? Don't know. We didn't picket.
