Given Bob's statements about money to the court on Friday (as reported in
the press), I would like to suggest 4: Scientology is buying him out.
Please keep in mind this is just my theory and all I am basing it on is
Bob's statements about money.
4) Scientology has offered to buy up all of Minton's "loans", etc., and pay
him off (basically giving him his money back). In exchange for this, Bob
tells them everything. What does Scientology get? (a) they get rid of Bob
Minton, (b) they get a lot of info about their enemies and (c) they have a
leverage point in litigation. For example: If Bob were to sell off his non-
recourse loan to the Estate to Scientology, that would give Scientology a
legal lever (albeit a slim one, because it is a non-recourse loan) to
harass the Estate. Since the purpose of the lawsuit is to harass, and Scn
has had great successes :( with harassment lawsuits in the past, I could
see this.
