ORDERS QUERY
Dear Sir,
Order and Issuer:
Assignment to pigs berthing by CO PAC. My orders query was disapproved
by CO PAC.
Reason this would cause loss or be destructive:
Late last night, I received an order to move to pigs berthing based on
having a very messy room when an inspection was done yesterday. I have
written a query on this order based on the fact that no ethics
gradients have been applied (I have never been given notice that I
flunked a berthing inspection). This is in violation of the following:
Per FO 3134, 23 FEB 72,
"THE CLEANLINESS OF BERTHING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BERTHING I/C.
HE ENFORCES THIS BY:
1. ETHICS ACTION ON OCCUPANTS TO BE FORWARDED TO FMAA ON EVERY (UL)
OCCASION THAT A BERTHING IS FOUND DIRTY, SMELLY, DIRTY CLOTHES LYING
ABOUT [sic], WALLS AND FLOOR UNCLEAN OR
2. TRANSFER OF AN OCCUPANT TO LESS DESIRABLE BERTHING IF THE CONDITION
CONTINUES." LRH
The room was cleaned last night. The only situation that I need a
couple of days to handle is to get a long bar installed in my room so
that I can hang clothes on; there is a store that sells these near
Normandie St. and I will purchase one and get it installed within 48
hours.
Solution recommended to handle the problem:
The pigs berthing assgt be cancelled as an incorrect ethics gradient
per the above and that I do fully get the room handled. (It is handled
now except for a proper rod to put the clothes on as above). It can be
inspected now to verify this.
This is ok.
