HEALTH -- MEDICAL BENEFITS FOR CATASTROPHIC ILLNESS
22-2-3404 Mellina, et ux. v. Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund Commission, App. Div. [per curiam] [3 pp.] The appellate court upholds the final decision of the Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund Commission, which denied appellants' claim for reimbursement of payments to "Narconon of Northern California" for a six-month residential drug addiction rehabilitation program for their son on the ground that the program was not medical in nature, as required, and, instead, provided primarily peer therapy. [Decided April 14, 2003.]
