I've discovered that Narconon may have been intending to set up operations in, or possibly in association with, a state prison in Arizona. On the 19th December 2000, Narconon Cochise County was incorporated under the name of Thomas Floyd. As might be expected, he happens to be a Scientologist and has a home page at http://scientologist.myhomepage.org/thomasfloyd/myself.htm , on which he says that he is a corrections officer in a state prison in Arizona. (Maybe he's a protege of William Benitez, one of the founders of Narconon, who went on to work with the Arizona state department of corrections.) The only such prison in Cochise County is Douglas State Prison (http://www.adc.state.az.us/douglas.htm). However, just last month on 5th October, Narconon Cochise County was dissolved - I can find no trace of it having actually done any business during its short existence.
Can anyone shed any light on this mysterious affair?
