Narconon is opening centres in Ontario regardless of opposition or bylaws.

Al Buttnor and Penny Luthra spoke at a CLOSED meeting on Tuesday to "relieve" the concerns of local residents. (spit cough cough)

Penny Luthra's father was introduced as NOT A SCIENTOLOGIST - this was stressed apparently as it was quoted at least twice in the Community Press' report in today's paper. (scanned copy coming soon).

We need activists help in identifying the above named persons and all info you may have regarding narconon or scientology's dirty tricks bag

THe community is a small rather isolated one and the Reeve and the council seemed to be thoroughly snowed by these crooks.

There is another Hotel they bought just 10 kilometres down the hwy. The restaurant is open and they are underselling every other restaurant in the area (low overhead??).

There is no mention of that facility in the reports and nothing has been said about it being a NArconon facility - no one seems to know why they are there at all.

The Community Press quotes Davinder Luthra as saying the cost for the program - not for court ordered treatment, would be $15,000.00 that is for not court ordered treatment (why say that twice?? hmmmm). The staff/student ratio would be 2:3 and that ALL the staff would be properly trained to help people get off drugs and stay off drugs by working at the root of the problem. The term student is used to show that the people there are in a learning process (cough cough spit spit).

Narconon does not have a building permit yet the hotel is crawling with people doing renovations, the area is zoned C1- Highway COmmercial - this means that in-house treatment facilities are not allowed. Also the site has no proper water or sewage system.

Al was asked regarding why that site but no answer was forthcoming.

The next town meeting is scheduled for Oct 28 at 7 pm and will be an open one.

The more info we have on these people and the more we are able to educate the people who are interested in stopping them about scientology dirty tricks and nasty behaviours the better.
