Many years ago, after they'de deposed my elderly parents twice as a way to harass me, (they deposed over 50 of my friends as well as my family, asking personal questions about me), my mother bumped into one of the harassing Scientology lawyers on the elevator as they were both leaving.

My mother later told me that she asked him, sweetly: "Why do you defend these clients when, if you lifted a rock, the lowest thing that slithered out from under it wouldn't be as low as your clients?"

The lawyer was stunned and replied, "I defend them because they pay me."

"Whores get paid too," said my mother as she walked away.
