What are some of the possible causes of paranoia in a 25 year old male? He just completed college, was very stressed out the last few weeks over finals, drank a lot of coffee, smoked cigarettes, smoked some marijuana and has not been sleeping. Could a combination of these factors trigger paranoia and, if so, will it require medical attention or, with resumption of regular sleep patterns (with Klonopin at night), will it go away?

I feel that once he gets back into his regular sleep and awake patterns the stress will be reduced and he should be all right again. The stress and th other things can be enough to cause the paranoia.
