I recently heard this term and was wondering what it means. I could not find anything online about using this particular term. Is it a chemical imbalance? Have you ever heard of this before? Thank you.

It must have been replaced by some other word... although I still use it.
People who are character disordered are people who are very charming on the outside but when you get to know them you discover that they are manipulative, lie, have little or no sense of right and wrong. Many if not most criminals are character disordered.

Just found a list of behaviors for character disorder.
faulty identification relatively free of anxiety unable to defer pleasure.... wants immediate gratification cannot feel gilt lacks interest in morals or values insincere, lies impulsive...doesn't consider alternatives or consequences uses people as objects for gratification commits sexual indiscretions lacks responsibility for commitments manipulates situations and people extroverted.... charming financially and emotionally dependent, fears intimacy few close friends, many casual relationships changes jobs frequently poor school/work history intellectually competent but does not profit from experience involved in socially unacceptable activites no major disorder of thought or brain function
