Christianity is a severe mental disorder that is cripilling the USA and preventing it from reaching its full potentional. What can be done about this serious disorder? What do you do when presented with a patient who exhibits the Christianity disorder?
Liveagain gave this response on 4/8/2000:
Christianity is a choice of the way one lives their life. If you consider kindness, love, acceptence of all and compassion to be a severe mental disorder and a Christian patient seeks you help, then you need to refer this patient to someone else.
Anonymous asked this follow-up question on 4/8/2000:
Christianity causes people to trade happiness and fulfillment for a supposed afterlife. The DSM description for schizophrenia matches Christianity perfectly. Christianity is ruining peoples lives and holding back science. If Christians had their way the flat earth would still be at the centre of the solar system.
It can only do more harm to a person to tell them it is OK to have Christian thoughts, so how do you treat it?
Liveagain gave this response on 4/8/2000:
How one feels about this all depends on ones religious beliefs. If your patient is a Christian and your not and can't treat a patient without letting personal feelings sway how you treat this person, then you need to refer them to someone else.

That seems a fair answer, although it is of course quite immoral for a Christian to attempt to counsel anyone since they are too biased and need help themselves. Liveagain, you should call yourself alreadydead.

Thank you for your response. Eveyone has a right to their opinion. I'm truly sorry that you feel that you have to be obnoxious to get your point across. I've being alive means I would have to think and speak like you, then I'm happy to be dead. Have a wonderful day. God Bless you
