Is it possible for a man to love a woman and care nothing about his own mother? If he can't help her out when she needs it, will he be able to help me? And my second question is: Why do most black atheletes turn to white women instead of their own race? I'm not prejudice, but all women are not money hungry.

I think that a man who doesn't love his mother is usually trouble! Well, I'm sure there are exceptions, but a lot of people believe we treat our partners the way we treated our parent of the opposite sex, and/or the way our parent of the same sex treated their spouse. Is that confusing enough? It is understandable for a man not to have a relationshop with his mom for a number of reasons; sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, abandonment, etc. but unless he's worked through all of these issues, it could be difficult for him to have a healthy relationship with a woman.
I'm not black, nor am I an athelete, but I do have a very close black male friend who confided in me that a good number of his friends see dating a white woman as a status symbol. I'm not sure that money has everything to do with it. Many white women find other races attractive, regardless of their financial status.
