What constitutes a date versus two people just hanging out? What defines a date?
Olomus gave this response on 7/13/2000:
Hello Aaron:
My opinion is that the boundaries are defined in both situations up front by those involved.
That being, you tell each other this is a date (meaning there's a possibility of the relationship advancing to higher stages)
OR
you tell each other that you're friends and just hanging out.
If these things aren't discussed, problems could arise when one person feels they want the relationship to advance while the other is perfectly content remaining on the friendship level.
Hope this helps? Olomus
