This won't come as as news to many of you but there is one element you might enjoy.
There is "noise" being created on ARS. "Noise" has a very specific definition in Scientology. From the Admin dictionary, "NOISE. 1. The amount of disturbance and off line actions and chatter and general dev-t in an area. (OODs 7 Nov 70) 2. a technical term used in the field of public relations to describe the medly of messages hitting a member of a public besides one's own message. (HCO PL 8 May 70)
What definition 1 means is that there is a lot of posts that do not relate to Scientology and it is causing a disturbance and disruption. Deft 2 is pretty clear when you turn it around, saying that it is the number of messages hitting ARS other than ARS's messages.
There was a time when Scientology was the major topic. Now it is Diane, or Dennis, or Lawrence, or Grady, or Scarff. It doesn't take much analysis to see what has happened and how it happened. But ARS used to be a place where people could come to and learn about the cult. Now it is a place where you come to read insults being flung at Diane and the rest.
I can well imagine a drone at OSA who keeps count of these, to they can be see how effective their "noise" is. How mahy posts deal with Scn and how many are "noise"? When the ratio drops, the insults and accusations start. That is the function of some here.
Meanwhile there are some who continue to post excellent material and analyses of Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard.
I don't really expect that saying this will suddenly change the minds of those who want to express their right to appear in print around the world. But I would like to point out that it is a Scn policy, a Scn strategy and I don't think the amount here is any accident any more than those flurry of Scientologists who suddenly decided to start calling me.
But a lower noise level here would be more relevant to the group.
