The answer to the question of can a teacher be harassed by an adult student is yes. Any time a teacher feels that the flirting has turnes into harassment is when it should be stopped. Just because they are a student doesn't mean that laws don't apply to them. They are an adult and therefore they should act like one.You can go to a lawyer to file the claim and it is taken out on the person who has been harssing you and then is brought before a jury.I would have to say that the employer is not held responsible but should do what they see fit to make the work place safe for everyone. That includes firing this person or putting a stop to it. Yoiu should make your employer aware of what is going on at all times so that he/she may put a stop to the harassing then you can go ahead with leal procedure so that you don't have to worry about facing your harasser day to day! Hope this helps you out!:)
