It took me slightly over a year to locate the EEOC office and file a claim against an employer. (I was just not able to think about it for a while). Now I find out that if a complaint is over 300 days, EEOC won't even consider it. IS there any other recourse?, It took me slightly over a year to locate the EEOC office and file a claim against an employer. (I was just not able to think about it for a while). Normally when one has the sexual harassment issues the advice would be to go to an Employment law" attorney.
Since your time has expired with the EEOC, I would pursue a different type of attorney. Go in with all your proof. An organized chronology of events & ask to pursue an action for personal injury, civil rights violations, something to that effect.
The Employment Law attorney would probably turn his nose up at this, but I would bet you could find a tort law, or ACLU activist attorney that would jump on this IF you have some great PROOF of your allegations.
Good Luck to you!
