It took me slightly over a year to locate the EEOC office and file a claim against an employer. (I was just not able to think about it for a while). Now I find out that if a complaint is over 300 days, EEOC won't even consider it. Ugh! I was in the same boat at one place I worked. I was not able to find another recourse, but in your case, if it produced such profound effects that you find yourself having to get counseling, etc, a personal injury lawyer might be able to file a tort on your behalf.
