Hopefully you have read my first question so I wont have to go into that again. I just wanted to address what most of you suggested for me to do. Have any of you stayed at a shelter? Most kick you out after a couple weeks. How do you get your life started over in a couple weeks? The conditions are unbareable. Also as far going to the law for help, his dad is the police chief of our tiny town. Have you heard of the good ole boys? Thats what I live with. I know I have to get away from this man, but how?

Eight years ago I stayed at a shelter with my three children and we were there for three weeks. While we were there I was involved in counseling to help me through the rough spots. When I entered the center I got on the waiting list for government housing and attended my last semester in college. I was on the waiting list for 3 weeks when my children and I got an apartment because we were considered homeless living at the shelter. If you do not have a local housing authority you need to find the nearest one in the area and get some assistance. Even though the shelters feel like you are being punished by being confined they actually do help you where you can succeed as an independent woman. Good luck and I hope that everything works out.
